Art for All was a huge success! Thank you for your support. Barbara reports:
“ART FOR ALL, an exhibition held during the month of April raised £1666 for an important charity Pancreatic Cancer UK. This charity is dedicated to improving early diagnosis and treatment for this particularly aggressive cancer. This exhibition was in memory of a friend Dame Clare Marx, an exceptionally talented doctor who died at the young age of 68.
All of us have pictures we have loved and enjoyed either hanging un noticed on our walls, tucked into cupboards or under beds .This was an opportunity to get them out dust them off , display them and sell them for this good cause. So many styles and subjects ranging from £ 2 -£ 200; there really was something for everyone.
So many of us enjoyed looking at, commenting on and buying each others’ art. Giving old pictures new homes, new lives and keeping the picture framers locally in business. I want to thank those who generously donated their art, who helped sell and manage the exhibition and the opening night event. Special thanks to all of you who generously bought the pictures and who I hope went home with new treasures to be enjoyed for years to come” www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk
